Head of Power

Power

The Head of Power is a highly specialised professional with a comprehensive understanding of the Power discipline.  She/He is responsible for maintaining and uplifting the technological standards, capabilities, and potential of the discipline through continuous research and market studies. She/He directly supervises the department's activities and ensures high quality of operational delivery including, but not limited to: operational requirements, staff training, equipment CAPEX requests and recommendations.

Required Education and/or Qualifications:

  • Formal Electrical certification
  • Valid UAE driver's license
  • Competency in using MS Office
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Required Experience:

  • Highly specialised technical knowledge and experience in all relevant electrical equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of the production and events industry
  • Proven track record and years of experience in specialised field to a high level
  • Proven leadership qualities with years of practical experience
  • Excellent understanding of reading technical plans
  • High-level understanding of safety and HSE guidelines/working at height safe practice

Senior Technician

Video

The Senior Technician prepares, sets up, installs, and/or operates video equipment for events, working to achieve the highest standard of service and equipment quality. She/He, with a proven in-depth technical knowledge and experience, should demonstrate advanced team leadership and client facing skills and an ability to manage a project with minimal supervision.

Required Education and/or Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or relevant years of experience
  • Competency in using MS Office
  • Strong written and spoken English

 Required Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in the specialised field within the events and event technology industry and operating for shows
  • Knowledge of reading and understanding technical plans
  • Strong understanding of safety and HSE guidelines/working at height safe practice
  • Proven leadership qualities with at least 2 years of practical experience
  • Ability to run shows of all sizes and manage a small team of technicians in the set-up and operation of large scale events
  • Advanced knowledge of all video equipment and ability to provide technical advice
  • Advanced fault-finding skills in the video discipline
  • Good understanding of an asset and resource management system
  • Advanced understanding of all video formats and signals types, video equipment projection and set-ups, switching, media servers, camera systems and signal distribution
  • Advanced knowledge of projection calculations including multi-projector line-ups and blend calculations for large screen set-ups, and the ability to work out power calculations and weight loads for video equipment being flown on events
  • Advanced knowledge of LED screen construction and programming, and the ability to create video schematics for the set-up of video systems

Electrician

Power

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in professional industry and operating for shows

  • Basic understanding of reading technical plans
  • Ability to follow equipment lists to prepare technical equipment leaving the warehouse to a high standard
  • Understanding of production/events industry and events technology
  • Exposure to working in different cultures
  • Good understanding of safety and HSE guidelines/working at height safe practice
  • Ability to set up and operate small and medium jobs independently
  • Ability to fault find in chosen discipline
  • Good understanding of general site procedures
  • Basic knowledge of international power equipment

Department Technician

Lighting

The Department Technician’s primary role is to provide support to the Head of Lighting in ensuring the smooth running of the department from all aspects including, but not limited to: operational requirements, staff training, equipment CAPEX requests and equipment maintenance. She/He shares the same accountability with the HOD in ensuring that the department, at all times, is capable of responding to the operational requirements of the Company and delivering equipment to high standards.

Required Education and/or Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree is preferable; or relevant years of experience
  • Competency in using MS Office
  • Good written and spoken English

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in events and event technology industry 
  • Knowledge of all lighting equipment
  • Experience in preparation, testing and repair of lighting equipment
  • Basic understanding of reading technical plans
  • Fault-finding skills in the lighting discipline
  • Good understanding of safety and HSE guidelines
  • Adequate understanding of an asset management system
  • Ability to follow equipment lists to prepare technical equipment leaving the warehouse
