UAE: Dubai-based rental company, eclipse Staging Services, has grown its audio inventory with a significant investment in products from Waves Audio. The company has invested in the manufacturer’s SoundGrid Server Extreme and Maxx Bass BCL.
‘Waves products are simply a must these days,’ stated eclipse head of audio, John Parkhouse. ‘To be able to integrate the server with our Waves-enabled DiGiCo SD8 and also our other DiGiCo desks via DigiGrid MGB opens up a higher level of possibilities.
‘The Waves Maxx Bass BCL has been requested many times, having a hardware version gives an immediate and nice tactile way of handling what is a very effective piece of equipment,’ he continued. ‘When the Maxx Bass arrived and we tested it in the warehouse and were astonished by it, then it went straight on to Tiesto at DXBeach.’
Away from Waves, eclipse has also added to its inventory with eight d&b audiotechnik DS10 audio network bridges. ‘We have been awaiting the release of the DS10 and placed the order for them the moment they became available,’ said Mr Parkhouse. ‘It’s a very powerful tool to add to our inventory, incorporating AES and networking distribution as well as Dante integration. They are going straight to work.’
