UAE: The shortlist for the 2016 Middle East EVENT Awards has been announced, and eclipse is delighted to have been recognised in four categories.
This year, the Shortlist Party was held at Zero Gravity with eclipse as the Official Shortlist AV Partners, supplying all AV requirements for the event.
In 2015 eclipse Staging Services won ‘Employer of the Year’, and this year, for the third year, they’ve been shortlisted as the eclipse Group. “At eclipse, we understand we have a duty of care to our staff, and we are thrilled to be shortlisted in this category”, comments eclipse Staging Services General Manager Martin Lubach.
eclipse Staging Services has also been shortlisted for ‘Best Sound Production’ for their technical support at Dubai Music Week. Originally when they started this event it was going to be a single night performance, when it turned into a 3-day festival the crew had to address requests as they came in and ensure all riders could be covered. Due to the recent expansion of the audio department over the last 18 months, the new equipment and experienced crew fully met the incoming riders with only very minor substitutions in the event run-up. eclipse is immensely proud of this project and it has been praised by Ellie Goulding’s FOH, Joe harling.
The third category which eclipse Staging Services has been shortlisted for is ‘Best Event Lighting Design’, for the Corona Sunsets music festival at Barasti Beach Bar. From the outset, eclipse wanted to make sure that this show was going to be unique and distinct to past editions. Having to design and fabricate the structure, they were able to ensure this was a genuinely unique event.
Finally, the eclipse Group has been shortlisted for the ‘ILEA Spirit of Excellence Award’, as a long-term member of ILEA and having several staff members lend their expertise to the association at either board or committee level, they adhere to ILEA’s code of conduct and have demonstrated this by committing to publish their annual health & safety report, evaluating their performance to help improve health & safety standards internally and regionally.
“There’s great competition this year and we’re extremely happy with the outcome of the shortlist announcements. We’re looking forward to awards night; see you there”, concludes Mr. Lubach.
