Martin Lubach

General Manager

With 30 years of experience in the event and entertainment industry, Martin (a graduate of Electronics and Electrical Engineering from Edinburgh University) began his career in 1984 as an Engineer, Product Developer & Draughtsman at SST, where he worked within a team designing the first European Automated Lighting System – the Starlite. Following on from that role, he went on to tour for several years as the Lead Programmer and Board Op for major bands such as Deep Purple, Elton John, Sting and New Order. From 1993 – 1997, Martin had his first experience in team management where he helped develop and oversee the manufacturing of the Starlite MK5 console and lighting fixture.

After joining Essential Lighting in 1998, Martin - due to his technical capabilities - helped the business grow very quickly and became both Technical Director and a shareholder; simultaneously working on technically demanding jobs and developing warehouse procedures to ensure maximum efficiency within the business. After their acquisition by PRG (a leading supplier of technical equipment and services to the production industry) in 2009, Martin assumed the role of Managing Director of Essential and managed the Essential brand.

Martin then went on to spend two years as Commercial Director at PRG UK, from 2011 - 2013 Martin took an active role in contributing to the company’s growth strategy through proactive sales and working with the specialist sales team.

In 2013 Martin made the move to the Middle East and took over as General Manager of eclipse Staging Services where he has been instrumental in driving sustainable growth within the business.

Manu Abraham

Group HSE Manager

After obtaining his master's degree in engineering from the UK, Manu Abraham decided to focus his profession on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and obtained his diploma in Industrial Safety with the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH). Manu worked for a year in the UK as an HSE advisor at an MEP company before moving to the UAE and taking the role of deputy HSE manager at an engineering company.

Manu joined the eclipse Group in June 2012, where he provides specialist advice to the management team regarding matters relating to health and safety risks. This includes protecting staff safety by making sure risks in the workplace are identified, evaluated and properly controlled, as well as ensuring that employees comply with all aspects of UAE laws and regulations.
